Very soon after the forum appeared the members were talking about getting together.
pTim on the 27 April made the first post proposing a meeting of those in the Essex and London area. The first meeting was at the Jobber's Rest in Upminster on Sunday 25th June and was attended by 25 people. Since then other groups have got together with the regions being determined by the distribution of members.

Post Christmas Essex-London Lodge meet-upSunday 29th January
Again the meeting is being held at Chafford Hundred Thurrock Inn, Grays, Essex on Sunday 29th January. Arrive anytime after 12 (when pub opens) with sit down for food at 1pm
There will the usual raffle and quiz, plus plenty of time to discuss stamps and other things. You can obtain more details from the forum or contact pTim for more details.

Inter Lodge Ten-Pin Bowling competition.Sunday 26th February
This will be held at the Hollywood Bowl, Leicester, on Sunday 26th February 2006 commencing at 12 noon. At the moment it will be between three teams representing the Northern Institute , the Essex/London Lodge and the Inbetweenies ( those in the middle ).
So far 31 forum members have joined up and it may well be that there will be more than three teams competing (perhaps a Southern contingent?) Organising at the sharp end is being done by Mooresey who will book the venue and arrange prizes from the said venue.To date a bottle of champagne for the best bowler and a broken bowling ball for the worst. Other prizes may well be available. A quiz will also take place with the questions accumulated by the efforts of Hansolobiker assisted by the lovely Kelshandra.

Northern Institute Spring Meet 2006
The 3rd meeting of the Northern Institute will take place on Sunday 19th March 2006 at the Narrowboat Pub , Victoria Street , Skipton, North Yorkshire. New members are welcome to attend and can obtain details from Hansolobiker in the usual way.
